The Craftsman design movement of the early 20th century sprang from a desire for practical honest furniture that countered the filigree and flighty flair of earlier eras. This unique design philosophy demanded straightforward design and the Modern Craftsman Joinery Cross Nightstand brings this demand into your modern bedroom.Beneath the nightstand's circular top the center post is supported by four trestle-style feet banded in the center to form a radiating bouquet. Made of maple and select hardwood solids with sungkai veneers this USA-made nightstand is finished in a blanched Driftwood shade that's been wire brushed cowtailed fly specked and spattered and topped with wool wax for an effect that's rife with character. The lighter natural color blends with and offsets any dark piece in the Modern Craftsman bedroom collection (sold separately).
